Jobs in Civil Hospital Shillong:- Civil Hospital, Shillong invites application for posts to be filled up on contractual basis for a period of 8 (eight) months under ICMR-NCDIR funded project entitled “Monitoring survey of cancer risk factor and health system response in Northeast Region (NER)”.

The study will be conducted in a defined population, rural and urban areas of the Population-Based Cancer Registry Shillong (East, West & South West Khasi Hills, East & West Jaintia Hills and Ri-Bhoi District).

1. Post Name:- Scientist B (Medical)

• No of posts:- 1 (One)
• Salary:- Rs. 63,625/- per month (fixed).
• Educational Qualification:-
  MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS from a recognized university with one year of research/ teaching experience.
  OR
  BDS/ BAMS/ BVSc from a recognized university with two years of research/teaching experience. –
  OR
  MPH/ MD in Community Medicine/ Public Health from a recognized university.
• Desirable Qualification:- One-year research experience in community studies. Knowledge of computer applications and data management.

2. Post Name:- Project Technical Officer (Medical Social Worker/ Social Worker / Sr. Investigator)

• No of posts:- 6 (Six)
• Salary:- Rs. 32,000/- per month (fixed).
• Educational Qualification:- Graduate in MSW / Sociology/ Statistics or equivalent subjects from a recognized university with five years of work experience from a recognized institution in public health/ Medical social work or Master’s degree in the above-mentioned subjects.
• Desirable Qualification:- One-year working experience in fieldwork. Knowledge of computer applications and data management.

3. Post Name:- Project Technician III (Lab Technician)

• No of posts:- 1 (One)
• Salary:- Rs. 18,000/- per month (fixed).
• Educational Qualification:- 12th pass in Science subjects and two years diploma in medical laboratory technician or related subject or one year DMLT plus one year in a recognized organization or two years of field/ laboratory experience. B. Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.
• Desirable Qualification:-
  a. Three years degree in life sciences.
  b. One-year experience in fieldwork
  c. Experience in specimen collection (blood) and handling. Knowledge of computer applications and data management.

4. Post Name:- Project Technician III (Field Worker)

• No of posts:- 2 (Two)
• Salary:- Rs. 18,000/- per month (fixed).
• Educational Qualification:- 12th pass in Science subjects or two years of field. B. Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years experience.
• Desirable Qualification:- Three years degree in life Sciences OR one-year experience in fieldwork and knowledge of computer applications and data management.

Age:- 18 years and above (relaxation as per government rules).
