The Lucknow hospital where Bollywood artist Kanika Kapoor is being treated after having tested coronavirus positive, has asked the artist 'to behaved on like a patient not like a star'.

In an unusual statement issued by Professor R. K. Dhiman, Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), he stated, "Kanika Kapoor has been given the best that is possible in a hospital. She should co-operate as a patient and not throw tantrums of a star in Lucknow."

He included that Kanika Kapoor must cooperate with the hospital 'to support herself'.

The statement was released after the artist claimed that the room where she had been kept, was dusty and had mosquitoes.

"She is being given Gluten-free diet from the hospital kitchen. The facility gave to her is a separated an isolated room with a latrine, patient-bed, and a TV. The ventilation of her room is cooled with a different Air Handling Unit (AHU) for the COVID-19 unit," the chief said.

He further stated, "Most extreme consideration is being taken, yet she must first start behaving as a patient and not a star."

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh and his family who went to the party where Kanika Kapoor was also present a week ago, have tested negative in the corona test.

Twenty-eight different visitors who went into self-quarantine have also tested negative as per reports that came in on Saturday evening.
