MP of Tura Meghalaya, Agatha Sangma has assuered of releasing Rs 1 crore from her MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).
The Meghalaya Chief Minister's office tweeted: "Hon'ble Meghalaya MP Smti Agatha Sangma has assented the release of 1 crore from MPLADS due for release by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MoSPI) during the financial year 2020-21 to the Central Government pool towards avoidance and control of #COVID2019india."
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has encouraged all to extend financial support to help the needy during the 21-day lockdown and liberally contribute towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).
The Chief Minister tweeted: "LET'S ALL STAND UNITED TO CHAMPION #COVID2019 and help each other especially during the #21daylockdown."

The Meghalaya Chief Minister has requested the individuals to donate online.
He tweeted, "For online transfer please donate to: Meghalaya Chief Minister's Relief Fund http://megcmrf.gov.in/index.htm."

Then, so as to connect the farmers in the state to the consumers during the lockdown period, the Meghalaya government has also started measures.
"In our endeavors to connect our farmers to consumers especially in this time of crisis, our iTEAMS and the NaRI group with the help of our DCs made essentials commodities available to our citizens for buy in different parts of the city and others locations in the State," the CMO tweeted.
