3 More Cases of COVID-19 in Assam Including 1 in Guwahati; Total Rises to 23

GUWAHATI, APRIL 3, 2020:

Assam Health and Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has recently confirmed that 3 more individuals from Assam have tested positive for the new coronavirus or COVID-19. This was just relayed by the Minister via a tweet that was posted on his official handle earlier tonight. As indicated by the Minister, 2 out of the 3 cases have links to the Nizamuddin Markaz congregation held in New Delhi in March last. With this announcement, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has rised to 23.

Alert ~Three more #Covid_19 positive cases have been confirmed, one each from Kamrup (metro),Kamrup and Marigaon taking the total number in Assam to 23.

Two out of these three cases are of patients who are related to #NizamuddinMarkaz event .

According to reports, one of them is a resident of Spanish Garden in Zoo Road locality.
